Artemis Investment Management has hired former Gartmore UK retail head Richard Pursglove to be its head of retail.
Mr Pursglove will join Artemis in September, reporting to Artemis’ head of asset gathering, Dick Turpin.
He joins from Goldman Sachs Asset Management, where he had been head of UK third party distribution since October 2011, prior to which he had been head of UK retail at Gartmore and a sales director at Cazenove.
Mr Turpin said Mr Pursglove’s contribution would be “significant” to Artemis.
