Investec Asset Management’s Michael Spinks has been given a co-manager role on its £80.4m Diversified Growth fund alongside Philip Saunders.
Mr Spinks joined the company last year as part of its global multi-asset team which oversees $17.9bn (£11.6bn) in assets.
Before joining Investec, Mr Spinks worked at Schroders for seven years, most recently as manager of the £4.5bn Diversified Growth fund and a member of the global asset allocation committee.
He was also part of the team at Schroders responsible for developing the institutional multi-asset fund management capability from its original balanced managed offering.
As well as managing the fund at Investec, Mr Spinks will continue to head the UK-based multi-asset capability alongside Philip Saunders, global head of multi-asset investments.
The Investec Diversified Growth fund, which is part of Investec’s managed solutions range, aims to achieve 5 per cent above the level of the UK consumer prices index on a rolling five-year basis.
