The QCF level three, certificate in investment operations has been designed as a “relevant, flexible and cost-effective” route for those working in administration, compliance and other back office roles, said Steve Jenkins, director of financial services and insurance markets at the CII.
He added: “The days when only front-line financial services sales staff needed qualifications are now a distant memory. Today the FCA expects staff of all levels and across all functions to demonstrate that they have the necessary skills to perform effectively.”
The course costs £300 for members of the CII and the Personal Finance Society and its first exams will take place in September.
