Franklin Templeton has hired ex-Insight manager Toby Hayes to run multi-asset funds for a UK retail audience.
Mr Hayes, a founding partner of Patrick Armstrong’s multi-manager boutique Armstrong Investment Managers, will join Franklin from Pacific Real Estate Capital Partners on September 2.
Ian Wilkins, Franklin Templeton’s UK country head, said the appointment was a “key milestone” as the group attempts to build its presence in the UK. In the past 18 months it has overhauled its UK fund offering and hired ex-BlackRock sales chief Mark Elliott to spearhead its retail distribution efforts.
