Platforum names Aviva as best platform in latest survey

The Aviva wrap has toppled Transact as the best platform, according to the latest Platforum market monitor.

Aviva received the best combined score from the Platforum from criteria such as adviser feedback, price, functionality, financial strength and momentum.

Holly Mackay, managing director at The Platforum said Aviva had risen through the ranks as they “put the past to one side and plug away with their current proposition”.

She said: “This quarter, their adviser feedback was really strong and to me, that speaks volumes. In terms of functionality they’re still not the fullest offer out there but for the right sort of client they’re doing well.”

Transact slipped one place to second, while Axa Elevate also slipped one place to third in the latest survey for the third quarter of 2013.

When it came solely to adviser feedback, with 4,200 reviews assessed, Parmenion came out on top for the second consecutive quarter, just ahead of Transact.
