Jones joins Ashcourt Rowan as CEO of financial planning

Gaius Jones has now joined Ashcourt Rowan as chief executive of its financial planning business, following the company’s earlier announcement.

In March, Ashcourt Rowan announced that Mr Jones will drive the management and development of the financial planning business across the UK to deliver the group’s growth plans.

His arrival follows the appointment of Steve Midgley, who joined Ashcourt Rowan Financial Planning as business director in May.

Mr Jones joined John Scott and Partners in 1999 and was appointed to their Board in 2003. Since the purchase of Towry Law in 2006 Mr Jones held senior advisory and technical positions. He was appointed as an executive director of Towry in December 2009.

Mr Jones said:: “Ashcourt Rowan is one of the few firms about to offer a full service wealth management proposition on a national basis that meets the needs of individuals and corporates who will be in increasing need of independent, expert advice they can trust about their pension arrangements, investments and wider financial planning needs.

“We see a huge opportunity to attract people, clients and professional connections to us and I am excited by the challenge ahead.”

Jonathan Polin, Ashcourt Rowan group chief executive, said: “Gaius’ role in guiding our financial planning business and helping us make it the envy of the sector is crucial. I have no doubt he will be instrumental in helping our business grow across the UK.”
