BBC economics editor Stephanie Flanders has left the broadcaster to join JPMorgan Asset Management as chief market strategist for the UK and Europe.
Ms Flanders will be based in London and report to chief global strategist David Kelly.
The company said her role will be to “deliver insight into the economy and financial markets to thousands of professional investors across the UK, Europe and globally.”
“We’ve admired Stephanie’s ability to cut through the noise to give investors a better grasp of the world around them. Her integrity aligns with our core values, namely the priority of being a valued and credible adviser,” said Jasper Berens, head of UK funds.
Prior to the BBC, Ms Flanders was a reporter at the New York Times, and a columnist at the Financial Times, among other roles.
