The adviser, who joined the national wealth manager after graduating in 2009, has secured the top marks of all entrants in the southwest of England in the past year in two separate exam categories.

According to the Chartered Insurance Institute, Mr Walshe acheieved the highest scores in the AF4 examination, based on investment planning, and in its CF8 examination, based on long-term care.

He received two awards to mark his achievements at a ceremony in Bristol last week.

Andrew Stevenson, Chase de Vere’s senior manager for Bath and the southwest, said: “It is a fantastic achievement for Mr Walshe to reach such high standards in two separate examinations.

“He is a product of our adviser academy, which aims to produce Chase de Vere’s independent financial advisers of the future by providing a structured two-year development plan combining studying for professional qualifications, centralised training sessions and on the job training working alongside senior advisers.”

He said Mr Walshe’s success demonstrated the “focus on training and development” so that Chase de Vere can make sure it was employing “some of the most knowledgeable independent financial advisers in the UK”.
