Launch Pad: Schroders

The ISF Global Recovery fund will have the same investment philosophy as the £430.7m Schroder Recovery fund and will be managed by Nick Kirrage, Kevin Murphy and Andrew Lyddon.

The Recovery fund is top decile over a one, five, seven and 10-year period, and top quartile over three years to 31 August 2013.

Robin Stoakley, managing director of UK intermediary at Schroders, said: “We have decided to launch Schroder ISF Global Recovery following strong demand from clients for high-alpha global equity products. It will look to match the strong, long-term investment performance of the Schroder Recovery fund by applying the same investment style to global markets.”

“Even if a sister fund has good managers, the new fund could be a flash in the pan. We like to leave it until it has a 12-month track record, rather than jump into it. When a fund gets up and running it changes straight away.”
