Derek Bradley, chief executive of the online advisory community, said the launch was in response to “strong demand” from users who write mortgage business

He said the microsite, Panacea Mortgage, had been designed in association with regulatory information site TCF Info to provide mortgage brokers and advisers with practical, user-friendly guidance and tools to help them embed best-practice procedures into their business.

Mr Bradley said that as well as providing regular updates on the mortgage market review and product information, the site will include commentary and ‘thought pieces’ by Frank Eve, managing partner of Frank Eve Consulting which manages the TCF Info website.

Mr Eve said: “With the advent of MMR rule changes next year, TCF Info has been vocal in offering users the opportunity to join the debate and comment on the proposals as well as explaining how MMR will affect them.

“The Panacea Mortgage microsite will provide even more support to this industry and we look forward to working closely with Panacea Adviser and its community.”

Adviser view

Brian Murphy, head of lending for national mortgage intermediary the Mortgage Advice Bureau, said: “This could potentially be a good resource for mortgage advisers but that would be subject to the content and quality of information provided.

“As a broker network in our own right, we would supply brokers with all the relevant information they need.”
