Mr Player said he was honoured to have been recognised by his client, stating that referrals are an “important part” of financial advice, and “it is always nice to begin a relationship with a new client, based on the recommendation of a satisfied customer.”
He added: “Much has changed in the advice sector since I started my career almost 14 years ago, particularly in relation to regulations and the sophistication of the products and services available.
“However, what has remained - and will always remain - constant is the need to provide professional and impartial advice that is in the best interests of clients. That is what I have always strived to do and will always continue to do.”
Mr Player has been with Helm since 2007 and has been a financial adviser since 2000.
He added: “Away from the office I have a very understanding and patient wife and two sons aged 19 and 16 for whom I act as a free bank.”
