Royal London Asset Management saw a sharp increase in net new business in the third quarter, after a moderate rise in the same period last year.
The investment arm of Royal London saw net new business of almost £1.5bn, compared with just £157m in the third quarter of 2012.
In August Royal London acquired the life & pensions and asset management business of The Co-operative Group, taking its assets under management from £50bn to more than £70bn.
