NAPF calls for new EU pension priorities

The head of EU and international policy at the National Association of Pension Funds has said there is “no justification” for tinkering with exsiting regulations for pension schemes.

He added that the single market and freedom-of-movement arguments for a unified EU workplace pension regulation do not stand up.

He added: “The EU should be pursuing policies that will help the majority of EU citizens to save into a workplace pension and make a real difference to the retirement prospects of millions of people.”
