Ishares appoints head of Europe

BlackRock has appointed Rachel Lord to lead its European exchange-traded fund (ETF) business, iShares.

Ms Lord joins from Citigroup where she was global head of corporate equity derivatives. In her new role she will be responsible for iShares’ business in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

She replaces Joe Linhares, who has been given a new role within BlackRock as global head of the firm’s ‘Platinum Client’ programme, overseeing relationships with its major retail clients.
