CII renews qualifications credit offer

David Ross, director of communications for the CII, said: “We will look at a point of crossover with another course provider’s syllabus and where there is a crossover, we will give credits.

“This works case by case and of course we can only do this based on an existing or current syllabus, where we can make proper comparisons.

“Sometimes other examiners’ syllabuses will change so we can’t be made a hostage to fortune by promising credits based on courses that members might consider in the future, but for a period of up to 10 years, where members have a previous relevant qualification, even from an overseas university, we will still look for duplication to allocate credits where relevant.”

He said he would encourage advisers to ring up the CII’s accreditation team to investigate where credits might be available.
