Lombard Odier in fresh assault on UK retail market

Swiss asset management firm Lombard Odier Investment Managers has launched sterling-hedged clean fee share classes in a bid to make headway into the ultra-competitive UK retail investment market.

Nine of its Luxembourg-based funds are now available to UK investors in sterling shares, including the top-performing Lombard Odier Technology fund and the $835m (£511m) Lombard Odier Emerging Consumer fund. The share classes all have an annual management charge of 0.75 per cent.

Dominick Peasley, head of UK third party distribution at the company, said: “We’re still expanding our activities in the UK and this is another milestone in that evolution. The launch of sterling share classes is in response to the strong demand that we have seen across the entire product franchise and gives our UK-based investors access to our strategies that aim to mitigate currency fluctuations.”
