On December 31 2013, the fund was renamed as the Sarasin GlobalSar Strategic fund.
The investment objective on the fund, which is managed by Mark Whitehead supported by Sarasin’s multi-asset team, has been adjusted so that it is aiming to deliver a “real return over the long term” rather than the previously stated “medium term”.
The firm has also slashed the charges on the fund by 25 basis points across the share classes, so that the clean fee class is now 0.75 per cent.
Sarasin’s multi-asset team went through some changes in November last year when David Vickers left to join Russell Investments.
Sarasin then hired Phil Collins from Newton Investment Management to join the team of Mr Whitehead, Aram Compton, David Palmer and Guy Davis.
