F&C Investments’ long-serving head of UK retail, John Yule, is to leave the firm at the end of February.
Mr Yule has been with F&C for 20 years and also served as sales director at Thames River after the boutique asset manager was bought by F&C in 2010.
His role will be taken over by Rob Thorpe, who joined F&C as head of consumer in November last year from Sarasin & Partners.
Mr Thorpe had been with Sarasin for just four months after joining from Cazenove Capital as it was acquired by Schroders last year.
Richard Janes, director of communications at F&C Investments, said Mr Thorpe will now have “responsibility for sales and distribution of F&C’s retail funds and investment trust ranges in the intermediated market”.
