Liontrust renames Income fund to reflect global remit

Liontrust has renamed its global income fund to reflect its change from a UK-focused product in the middle of last year.

The product, now named the Liontrust Global Income fund and run by James Inglis-Jones and Samantha Gleave, transferred to the IMA Global Equity Income sector last summer and the managers have since been raising the portfolio’s exposure to overseas companies.

This now sits at between 40-50 per cent, Mr Inglis-Jones said.

The fund has delivered 107.9 per cent in five years, outpacing the 80 per cent return from its IMA Global Equity Income sector, according to FE Analytics.
