Aegon UK has rolled out an auto-enrolment online ‘hub’ which it says is designed to help advisers support small and medium-sized employers and employees in the run-up their staging dates over the coming three years.
The portal features a short film on SmartEnrol, Aegon’s auto-enrolment solution, as well as three short films with technical pensions experts covering the issues the insurer believes represent the most commonly asked auto-enrolment questions.
Aegon says the hub also includes hints and tips for employers, advice to help advisers get their clients ready for auto-enrolment, and sources for employees to find further information.
Martin Haggart, technical development manager for pensions at Aegon UK, said: “Aegon UK was the first provider to launch a dedicated pensions reform website in 2009. At that point the focus was on awareness and education for advisers and employers around the proposed legislation.
“With a surge of medium size employers staging this year and next, this focus has changed to support schemes staging. We’re going to build on the three technical films, and produce lots more of these on the most common questions to make sure we’re there for employers, and helping them with the technical aspects of auto-enrolment.”
