According to Jon Everill, head of FundsNetwork Advisory Services, the range will be available to the adviser market exclusively through FundsNetwork.
Mr Everill said: “Advisers have told us they want access to a wide range of investment strategies to meet the needs of their clients in a post-RDR world.
“We recognise that index funds are an increasingly important part of an adviser’s investment recommendation, particularly in models. Combined with FundsNetwork’s platform fee at 25 basis points and a £45 investor fee, we believe this offers advisers a great place to invest in index funds.”
The range will include: Europe ex UK; Japan; Pacific ex Japan; and emerging markets.
The funds will be managed by equity index specialist fund house Geode Capital Management.
FundsNetwork platform fee: £25bps
Investor fee: £45
Alan Dick, chartered financial planner for Glasgow-based Forty Two Wealth Management, said: “We think there will be a massive increase in index funds in the next few years. It is good to see competition in this area, as this will drive down prices.”
