ONS revises down UK economic growth for 2013

UK economic growth was slightly lower than previously thought in 2013, according to revised estimates from the Office for National Statistics (ONS).

The ONS has calculated that overall economic growth in 2013 was 1.8 per cent, revised down from the previous estimate of 1.9 per cent.

However, the annualised economic growth figure reported for the final quarter of 2013 has been confirmed at 0.7 per cent, unchanged from the initial estimate given in January.
