L&C responds to growing well of Chinese clients

A spokesman said the firm had hired Cindy Lim to become associate director of a new division established purely to deal with Chinese applicants, who now make up 38 per cent ot the company’s clientbase.

The International Wealth and Immigration (China) unit is partnering with various immigration lawyers and international bankers to provide immigration, property and even education advice, as well as banking and investment management services, for a growing well of Chinese clients.

Ms Lim said that half of the firm’s Chinese investors are young entrepreneurs who have run their own businesses in China before relocating.

She added that their investments tended to gravitate towards high quality UK corporate bonds and internationally recognised blue-chip stocks.
