Sanlam Private Investments has hired an investment team from Brewin Dolphin to establish an office in Teeside.
The discretionary manager has set up the office, its fourth in the north of England, having hired Sheila Tindle, Stephen Richardson, John Pearson and Mark McMullan from Brewin Dolphin.
The four managers, along with two administrative staff for the office, will report to Jonty Warneken, head of intermediary services north, who is based in the firm’s Harrogate office.
Ms Tindle had been the head of Brewin Dolphin’s Teeside office, prior to which she had been director of Wise Speke’s Middlesbrough office and an assistant director of Allied Provincial Stockbrokers.
Mr Richardson, Mr Pearson and Mr McMullan had all been divisional directors in Brewins’ Teeside office before joining Sanlam.
Craig Massey, chief executive of Sanlam Private Investments, said the new office was “part of our continuing expansion regional plan in the UK”.
Sanlam has also hired Helen Johnson from the Chartered Institute of Securities and Investments as an investment manager for its Newcastle office.
