The Essex-based investment platform said that property and the global sector are strongly linked to the continued economic recovery.

Mr Venn said: “The IMA Global sector continues to grow in popularity by providing convenient access to overseas markets. Continued interest in property funds linked with market recovery indicates investors are keen to focus on longer-term goals.”

The Mixed Investment 20-60 per cent sector topped the IMA leaderboard, and the North America IMA sector also gained popularity, suggesting confidence is improving within international markets as investors look to diversify portfolios into the second quarter of 2014.
