RWC has expanded its sales team with the hire of Matteo Cianfoni while also promoting Roderick Loffler.
Mr Loffler, who has been at RWC for three years in client service roles, will focus on the UK while Mr Cianfoni, who joins in August after being responsible for GLG’s Italian sales for nearly five years, will bolster the group’s resources in Italy.
In addition, RWC recently hired Jillian Smythe and Flora Summerfield. Ms Smythe worked at Plurimi Capital having spent more than four years at Bank of America Merrill Lynch in prime brokerage.
Ms Summerfield joins having gained significant experience at global consultants, Cardano and Aon Hewitt and will support client services for the institutional market.
James Tollemache, head of sales at RWC, said the group’s assets had doubled in the past 18 months to nearly £6bn, with much of this growth “coming from our discretionary and advisory clients within the UK and Europe”.
“Supported by a more constructive equity market, our strategies have become increasingly relevant as assets flow to active managers who have entirely unconstrained approaches,” he said.
“It is imperative to us that we continue to deliver differentiated and interesting investment funds, where our investment teams and clients are supported by the highest quality marketing and infrastructure.”
