Getting past the regulator makes marketing bland

Further to whether the FCA should crack down on errant marketing, our regulator is rather busy managing the fully advised/regulated process but the more dangerous non-regulated marketing seems to slip below the radar.

Generally there are few real adverts in our advice industry. Sadly, all you see is bland, generic dribble, either because we are so fearful of our regulator, or that any advert would cease to serve any clear purpose once the FCA approved wording, disclaimer and confetti is added. It is a shame because we have so much we wish to tell the public.

I would conclude that if a financial advice advert is interesting, attractive and informative; it is most likely some kind of unapproved con.
