Foster Denovo has launched an academy to help advisers develop stronger and more meaningful relationships, Darren Laverty has announced.

The sales and marking director at the national financial advisers firm said: “We are geared around helping aspirational self-employed advisers grow their own successful businesses, and also have the capability to provide leads to those of our private client advisers who want access to them.”

The Advanced Adviser Academy will help experienced financial advisers who wish to further their careers as an employed or self-employed adviser.

Mr Laverty said: “In our bid to continue expanding, we want to encourage both self-employed and employed advisers to join, and believe we provide the ideal platform for both.”

Subject areas covered by the academy include: soft skills, cash flow forecasting, estate planning, business strategy and marketing.

Background

The firm’s advice for private clients covers the full range of advisory areas, including financial planning, retirement solutions, estate planning and mortgages and protection. Secondsight, the company’s dedicated employee benefits division, provides pension and employee benefits advice to businesses. In 2013 Foster Denovo partnered with the University of Northampton, which offers a degree in financial services aimed at young people who want to work in retail financial services.
