Yorkshire Building Society had enough on its plate last week after being fined by the Financial Conduct Authority.
But in the confusion the Bradford-based mutual seems to have dropped the ball when it comes to the simple matter of spelling.
Responding to the FCA’s announcement of its £4.1m fine YBS sent out a press release with a comment from their chief executive “Chis Pilling”. Of course, that should be ‘Chris’ with an ‘r’.

Fortunately for YBS there are no fines for faulty spelling.
