Jones Sheridan on the acquisitions trail

Jones Sheridan Financial Consulting has acquired Rawlins Financial Advisers, bringing an additional £30m of funds under management, Rawlins Financial’s director Phil Alcock has announced.

He said: “We felt it was the right time to look at partnering with another firm to take the business forward, but wanted to feel confident our clients would continue to receive the best possible advice and support from a local firm of financial advisers with a pedigree of success.”

David Williams, managing director of Jones Sheridan, said: “We are always on the look-out for smaller businesses that fit well with our business model, and Rawlins is a client-driven business which fits into that category.”

Background

The purchase by Cheshire-based Jones Sheridan is one of a string of acquisitions of local adviser firms by the company since 2010.

In 2013, the firm acquired Wealth and Trustee Management, also in Cheshire, which added 300 clients to its portfolio and took its funds under management to £350m.

In 2012, Jones Sheridan acquired the financial arm of Staffordshire law firm Brown & Corbishley Solicitors.
