With journalists attending from across the globe, Schroders thought of an innovative gift for attendees of its International Media Conference 2014 last week – a branded selfie stick.
What’s a selfie stick, you cry? It’s a tool that grips your smartphone, enabling you to get, ahem, ‘down with the kids’ by taking self-portrait photos.
First to use the gadget was Schroder’s chief economist Keith Wade, who posed for a Twitter shot with Schroder’s head of PR Beth Saint. Good to see fund managers keeping up with the times. However, Grapevine does not wish to see the evidence of anyone emulating Brooks Newmark MP. This is a respectable publication.
