Hugo Thorman leaves in RLAM purchase of Ascentric

Hugo Thorman, former managing director of adviser-led platform Ascentric, has stepped down to pursue business opportunities outside the company.

In a statement from RLAM, Andrew Carter, chief executive, said Mr Thorman would remain as non-executive chairman until the end of June this year, after which Mr Carter will assume the role in addition to his duties as chief executive of RLAM.

Jon Taylor will succeed Mr Thorman.

The news came as RLAM announced it had bought the remaining minority shareholding of Ascentric, which has held a majority stake in the platform since 2007.
