He has previously worked in prime and sub-prime lending as well as equity release lending as a senior underwriter and operations manager at companies such as Stonehaven UK Ltd, Platform Home Loans and Barclays Bank Woolwich Plc.

Last month, Shawbrook appointed Jack Simon as an outbound sales executive in its internal business team.

The role is designed to generate new business in areas not covered by external field sales, by working with new and existing introducer bases, then referring the business to one of Shawbrook’s brokers.

Lisa Crane, head of lending operations for commercial mortgages, Shawbrook Bank said: “Here at Shawbrook we recognise the need to cater for the strong level of enquires from our brokers and Paul’s expertise will be a valuable asset to the team.”
