Love and debt

Many Britons would like to see St Valentine’s Day, which we all diligently observed at the weekend, abolished, according to a survey from price comparison website confused.com.

Maybe this is not surprising, as so many people cringe at all the cards and hearts cluttering up the shops at this time of year – but it does not stop them going into debt. Apparently on Valentine’s Day 17 per cent use a credit card to buy a gift for their partner. Perhaps the spirit of romance is not yet a thing of the past.
