Ex-L&G individual annuities head returns to MGM

MGM Advantage has recruited ex-Legal and General head of strategy for individual annuities Tim Gosden as product manager.

He will now help manage and develop the MGM product range, while also supporting communication and marketing of the proposition.

Mr Gosden started his career in financial services in 1988, helping the firm’s predecessor MGM Assurance develop its pensions product range, before moving on to L&G in 2005.

He went on to hold various positions there in his 11 year tenure, including head of product development, retirement savings and then retirement income. He left earlier this year as part of the group’s wider restructuring announced last year after executive director and chief executive John Pollock stated his intention to retire.

Earlier today, L&G confirmed that Adrian Boulding is to step down from his role as pensions strategy director in August.

Peter Carter, product and marketing director at MGM, commented that the coming year will be one of the most exciting times to be working for a company focussed on helping advisers and their clients in the retirement market.

“To attract someone of Tim’s experience at such a crucial time is a real coup for us.”

Mr Gosden added: “Having started my career in financial services at MGM, it feels right to be returning at a time when the market is witnessing significant change.”
