Axa Investment Managers has hired former Barclays Capital analyst Dani Saurymper to manage its healthcare funds.
Mr Saurymper, who was an equity research analyst for European healthcare at Barclays, will join Axa on Monday April 27 to run the Axa Framlington Health and the Axa WF Framlington Health funds, subject to regulatory approval.
The funds had been run by Gemma Game before her departure from Axa in 2014, since when they had been run by head of global equities Mark Hargraves on an interim basis.
Before working at Barclays, Mr Saurymper had spent three years at Nomura covering global pharmaceuticals and healthcare and nine years at Goldman Sachs on its European pharmaceuticals research team.
