PMS and Newcastle add each other to panels

Newcastle Building Society Intermediary Services has opened up its range to members of the PMS network, Steven Marks has said.

The corporate development executive for NBSIS, the intermediary arm of Newcastle Building Society, said that, with the recent launch of the society’s online mortgage application system, PMS members can now submit applications online.

They will also be able to register and submit a decision in principle through the intermediary services website.

Mr Marks said this move with PMS was “building on the successful relationship we have enjoyed for some time with their sister network Sesame. This comes at an exciting time for us as we continue to improve our service to intermediaries.”

According to figures from the Building Societies Association, Newcastle Building Society is the 8th largest building society in the UK.

Sesame response

John Cupis, managing director of mortgages at Sesame Bankhall Group, said: “We are pleased to have added Newcastle to the PMS panel at a time when the society has made a number of improvements to its lending policy and enhanced the application process with a new online system.”
