Beacon shines a light

Philanthropists across the UK have received Beacon Fellowships in the 9th Beacon Awards for their charitable work.

The awards, held in London and supported by JP Morgan Private Bank, the City of London Corporation’s charity, City Bridge Trust and Pears Foundation, honoured the work of some of the UK’s most inspirational philanthropists.

Among those recognised were former Liverpool football star Jamie Carragher and rapper, songwriter, actor and film director Ben Drew (AKA Plan B).

Hosted by Kate Adie, the biennial Beacon Awards ceremony celebrates the achievements of individuals and families who have brought about lasting social change through their conviction, determination and generosity.
