Freedom from financial regret

Not saving enough and getting divorced are the two top regrets people have over their finances, according to Partnership.

Altogether, up to two thirds of people felt not saving enough was their biggest mistake – either in a savings account or into their pension. Getting married and then divorcing – at 13 per cent – was the third biggest error, followed by putting money into poorly performing investments.

Maybe pension freedoms will remind people to do the decent thing by encouraging people to take more responsibility for their finances.
