Schroders has hired five new members for its global fixed income team.
Paul Grainger, formerly of Wellington Management, will join as senior portfolio manager this month alongside Mads Nielsen, who moves over from GLG Partners to be a quantiatitative strategist.
Both Mr Grainger and Mr Nielsen will be based in London and report to Bob Jolly, head of global macro.
Last month, David Gottlieb, Vincent Messina and Whitney Tindale joined from Third Wave Asset Management, which they founded in 2014. The team will manage a specialised strategy that focuses on value in US rates markets.
Schroders’ fixed income global multi-sector team is responsible for managing a variety of strategies including: UK, Euro and global aggregate, global sovereign, absolute return and unconstrained strategies.
