The north-south rift in repossession rates has shrunk 19 per cent between 2013 and 2014 as repossessions fall faster in the north, data from e.surv has found.
However, one of the areas with the highest number of repossessions is Bradford, with 694 over 2014, the data showed. This represented an average of 6.2 repossessions out of each 1,000 households.
The north-south divide in home repossessions closed by a fifth from 2013 to 2014. In 2014 the north accounted for six out of the top 10 repossession postcodes, down from eight out of the top 10 in the previous year.
