Stonebridge recruits two new businesses

Mortgage and insurance network Stonebridge Group has recruited Northern Ireland’s largest independent retail mortgage and protection broker, The Mortgage Shop and Ulser Property Sales.

The Mortgage Shop was founded by Siobhan McAleer and has 16 branches and 36 advisers across Northern Ireland, where it helps home buyers arrange mortgage finance, home insurance and protection.

It specialises specifically in helping first-time buyers get their foot on the first rung of the property ladder.

Ms McAleer also runs the financial services arm of Ulster Property Sales, which has 11 offices across Northern Ireland, and will also be part of the Stonebridge umbrella.

She stated that amalgamating into the Stonebridge Group will enable the businesses to access the best mortgage deals out there.

“The bonus in joining Stonebridge is that we can now offer the same flexibility with insurance products such as mortgage protection, critical illness and home insurance.”

Richard Adams, managing director of Stonebridge Group, said: “These two brands, and their range of offices, have been leading lights in the provision of mortgage and protection advice in Northern Ireland for more than 20 years and have a strong reputation for the high quality of their advice and their commitment to their client base.”
