BBC sports presenter Dan Walker has been confirmed as the host of this year’s Money Management Financial Planner Awards. He has been the host of Football Focus since 2009, has reported on the past two World Cups and has also covered Wimbledon, the Grand National, The Open golf and Six Nations rugby.
The awards, sponsored by Schroders, recognise the best in financial planning with the overall winner in line for a £5,000 prize. Categories including Sipps, investment companies, protection, ethical investment, multi-asset, ETFs and enhanced annuities will also see winners pick up £500 for each, with £200 for the runner-up.
Entries are now closed and judging is underway. Shortlisted candidates will undergo interviews at MM Towers in early October before Mr Walker presents the trophies at a gala black tie dinner in London’s Mayfair on 29 October.
