Lee Hartley, chief executive at Fairstone Group, said: “There will clearly be significant challenges and opportunities in our market over the coming years, with retirement reforms being a current and very obvious example.”

Chris Hannant, director general at Apfa, said: “It is critical that the industry speaks with one voice when campaigning on important issues. Fairstone is an innovative, growing business which we believe will bring fresh insight and support to our efforts to secure a better deal for advisers.”

Fairstone has also been invited to make a contribution to the profession through Apfa’s compliance working group. As a result, the firm’s head of group compliance Ursula Sweis joined the group to discuss industry issues and policy stance with other member firms.
