Hornbuckle hires BNP Paribas’ Cambonie as CFO

Self-invested personal pension specialist Hornbuckle has hired Vincent Cambonie as its new chief financial officer.

His career spans 25 years in the industry, most recently as managing director and group chief financial officer at BNP Paribas Investment Partners.

He has extensive international experience, having held various senior finance positions at Instinet, Merrill Lynch – in their Paris, London and New York offices – and KPMG, before moving to BNP Paribas.

Phil Smith, chief executive of Hornbuckle, commented that Mr Cambonie brings a vast amount of financial expertise and invaluable insight in to running middle office functions.

“His experience will be instrumental in helping us continue to develop our business and our commitment to industry-leading governance.”

Mr Cambonie added that he was looking forward to working closely with the rest of the management team on further developing the company’s future strategy.

He replaces George McGrady, who is stepping down after five years at Hornbuckle.

The appointment comes after back in June, Hornbuckle and Prudential launched a joint initiative combining the PruFund range with full Sipp wrapper.
