Cummings joins FCA committees

The FCA has appointed former Aifa director general Chris Cummings as a member of its regulatory decisions committee and enforcement decisions committee.

Mr Cummings left Aifa in 2010 after five years to join TheCityUK, an independent membership body which aims to promote the UK financial services industry.

He was one of a number of people the FCA appointed to the committees this week, including lawyer Tim Parkes, who will become chairman of the RDC and EDC in January 2016.

“Their expertise will be central to helping both FCA and PSR achieve their respective objectives and raising standards.”
