An independent mortgage adviser is carrying out a series of fundraising challenges to raise money for a diabetes charity.
Phil Anderson, managing director of Phil Anderson Financial Services, has already raised £1,100 for Diabetes UK.
He recently took part in Swim 22, Diabetes UK’s national swimming challenge, which saw him swim 22 miles in three months.
He is now planning on running 10 10k races and a half marathon by the end of the year.
As a result of his efforts Mr Anderson has also lost four stone.
Mr Anderson said: “I am delighted with the progress I have made so far and I can’t believe how much money I have raised, never mind how much weight I have lost in the past few months.
“It’s a great feeling knowing that I’ve raised money for good causes, but have also managed to make lifestyle changes along the way, which in the long run, will benefit my health dramatically.”
