31 SJP Academy graduates make the cut

St James’s Place Wealth Management has welcomed into its ranks a group of 31 of the latest graduates to have completed the two-year training programme at St James’s Place Academy.

Following the success of Academy programmes in London, Manchester and Solihull, the Academy programme is now being expanded to Edinburgh, the UK’s second largest concentration of financial services employers after London.

Ian Gascoigne, managing director of St James’s Place, said: “Since St James’s Place was founded in 1992, the number of financial advisers in the UK has fallen from 250,000 to 25,000, while demand for face-to-face financial advice has continued to increase.

“There is a substantial shortage of quality, ethical advice in the UK, so we see the Academy as our internal production line for the next generation of educated, ethical and committed wealth managers.”
