Clydesdale leads pack of four

The two-star poor service category is now down to four, from last year’s total of seven, with the departure of Kensington to this year’s three-star service category and Accord to the one-star service category.

Clydesdale is in top position, while Woolwich remains in this category for another year.

New entrants include Bridgewater Equity Release – returning to the two-star category after a year out of the table – and Newlife.

Paragon, AToM join bottom rung with a thud

The one-star, very poor service, category remains the same as last year, with five providers listed.

However, this year there is no entry in the mortgage providers table for Newcastle Building Society, which is replaced in top spot by Bank of Ireland. Equity release specialist Partnership enters the table in second place in this category.

Biggest fallers are Paragon and All Types of Mortgages (AToM), both down from last year’s three-star service category to this, the lowest category. Accord had less far to fall, having declined from last year’s two-star service category.
