Many have said that a new wave of technological innovations will have a revolutionary effect on financial services – not least to providers.

One particular innovation seemed of paramount importance to the leading industry figures in attendance at Financial Adviser’s Service Awards – a forward-facing camera on their smartphones.

Hoards of people lined up to take ‘selfies’ in front of a number of stunning backdrops at the event venue, the National History Museum, including the renowned plaster-cast model of the skeleton of a diplodocus dinosaur.
